1 Introduction
1.1 Channel Reviewer ("Panel") is managed by eDigitalResearch plc of Vanbrugh House, Hedge End, Hampshire, SO30 2AF, UK,Company No. 5424597 ("eDR") on behalf of BBC Worldwide Channels BBC Worldwide Limited ("BBCW"), Media Centre, 201 Wood Lane, London, W12 7TQ T: 02084333669
1.2 BBCW may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online. As a member it is your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by BBCW. Your continued use of this Panel after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.
1.3 Membership entitles you to various incentives, including prize draws, promotions, and other programs empowered by eDR and managed and provided by BBCW. Additional terms and conditions will apply to these promotions. and offers, and you should monitor the website from time to time for details. Details of these promotions may also be emailed direct to you.
2 Use of this website
2.1 You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use this website content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any this website content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of this website content requires the prior written permission of BBCW.
2.2 You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of this website.
2.3 You must be 18 years of age or older to register with the Panel.
2.4 You undertake that all information you give in relation to the website will be as accurate as possible. Providing false information could lead to being disqualified from the panel.
2.5 By becoming a member, you agree that if you should win a prize then eDR will provide BBCW with your contact details in order to deliver that prize.
2.6 You will be responsible for ensuring that any and all details held about you by eDR (including your email address) are kept up-to-date and correct. Failure to do so could result in being excluded from the Panel.
2.7 You will receive regular questionnaires as a Panel member. Your participation on all questionnaires outside of the registration survey is voluntary and as such you may end your participation at any time. You can unsubscribe from the Panel at any time by visiting the Panel website or from the link in email survey invitations.
2.8 Posts may be rejected for one or more of the following reasons:
  • Swearing
  • Potentially defamatory statements
  • Spam
  • Inclusion of user contact details
  • Inclusion of names/contact details of BBCW staff
  • Aggressive/abusive behaviour towards other forum users/staff
  • Advertising
3 Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
3.1 The content of this website, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to BBCW, its products and services (or to third party products and services), is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
3.2 Under no circumstances will BBCW be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such losses where foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of this website regardless of the form of action.
3.3 BBCW does not warrant that functions contained in this website content will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
4 Intellectual Property
4.1 The names, images and logos identifying BBCW, the BBC or third parties and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and trade marks of BBCW, the BBC and/or third parties. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppel or otherwise any licence or right to use any trademark, patent, design right or copyright of BBCW or any other third party.
5 Contributions to Channel Reviewer
5.1 Neither BBC Worldwide nor eDR will respond directly to individual posts on this site. Instead they will post discussion topics and then moderate those discussions as a whole. Where a direct response is required the Panel member should instead address their communication to our dedicated email address: channels.feedback@bbc.com
5.2 Where you are invited to submit any contribution to this website (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant BBCW a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in BBCW's Privacy Policy. If you do not want to grant to BBCW the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to this website.
5.3 Further to paragraph 5.2, by submitting your contribution to this website, you warrant that your contribution:
  1. is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to BBCW for all the purposes specified above;
  2. is not defamatory; and
  3. does not infringe any law;
5.4 You indemnify BBCW against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by BBCW as a result of your breach of the above warranty; and waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on this website and the purposes specified above.
6 General
6.1 If there is any conflict between these terms and specific terms appearing elsewhere on this website then the latter shall prevail.
6.2 If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
6.3 These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
7 Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
7.1 The prize winner will win a voucher worth $100 for use at Amazon.
7.2 No cash alternative will be given for the prizes and the prize shall not be redeemable for cash. All prizes must be accepted within one month of the winner being notified.
7.3 Only one entry per member per draw is permitted.
7.4 There will be one prize winner per draw determined by the first drawn entry which will be randomly selected.
7.5 Once you have completed the questionnaire it will automatically be sent back to eDR.
7.6 Employees of eDR and BBCW, their families and agents are not eligible to take part in the free prize draw.
7.7 You may enter the prize draw without completing the questionnaire by sending your contact details to us and requesting a free draw entry.
7.8 The prize draw will be made at eDR offices on the first Monday of the next calendar month at 3.00pm.
7.9 The winner will automatically be notified within two weeks of the draw.
7.10 No purchase is necessary.
