Frequently asked questions

If your question is not adequately answered, please contact the website administrator.

This section will be updated with answers to your questions.

The community area is a place for your voice to be heard - but there's a bit more to it than in regular surveys, so this page explains a bit more about how it works

How it works

Forums

The forums are like message boards; use the 'Post' at the top of the page to post a new topic to a forum, and the 'Reply' button under any topic or post to write a reply.

Your profile

Your contributions to the community are available for all to see - this lists your post history and a little about you; your username and the date you joined the panel.

Participation in surveys

Some forums are connected to surveys run on the panel - comments made in the survey are available in the forum for discussion. Once you've participated in the survey, jump into the community area to see what everyone else is saying!

FAQs

Can people see my email address or contact information?

No - only your username is displayed. Other information about you will only be revealed if you include it in your posts (we recommend you don't do this!).

What is the points and ranks system used for?

Each member of Channel Reviewer earns points for interacting with the community (e.g. participating in forums and surveys). The points and ranking system is essentially a measure of your engagement in helping to shape BBC Worldwide channels. This enables us to recognise active members and in the future we may introduce additional elements of the website available only to the most active members.
